Notes from original text file:

Notes - - varying levels throughout, with some mid-song changes more noticeable than others. - "Accidents Will Happen" fades in near the end of the first chorus. - first tape flip after "Kid About It", which fades out abruptly after the song. - the next song "The Beat" is missing part of the intro, and then fades in on the first line of the song. - "Pump It Up" fades out early, about 15 seconds before the end of the song. - a few instances of nearby talkers during the quieter songs, but they are brief and not too distracting. - last known performance of "Colour Of The Blues" (one of six known performances). Covers - - "Why Don't You Love Me (Like You Used To Do)?" - Hank Williams - "Tonight The Bottle Let Me Down" - Merle Haggard - "Two Steps From The Blues" - Deadric Malone/John Riley Brown > Bobby Bland - "Slippin' And Slidin'" - Penniman/Bocage/Collins/Smith > Little Richard - "Colour Of The Blues" - Lawton Williams & George Jones - "From Head To Toe" - Smokey Robinson - "Don't Look Back" - Ronnie White/Smokey Robinson - "Back Stabbers" - Huff/McFadden/Whitehead > The O'Jays - "Danger Zone" - Percy Mayfield - "Help Me" - Sonny Boy Williamson/Ralph Bass/Willie Dixon - "PL&U" - Nick Lowe source: reasonable audience recording taper : unknown lineage: unknown Thanks to the unknown taper, and to John E for providing the flac files. I did some minor retracking, cleaned up a few microgaps, smoothed over tape flips with brief fades, and added flac tags. Editing lineage: Audacity (retracking, fades) > TLH > FLAC 6 (align SB) > Foobar2000 (flac tags). Comments by area51GM:
40 years on ....................................................... And 14 months since psychocaniac last posted this show here on dime, I present my version with a pitch correction and a merging of a few tracks so that "Detectives - Help Me- Pontiac Blues" is all one track and the encores applause is merged with the tracks preceding the breaks. Just my personal preference although the whole concert had to come down by some 33 cents to get the pitch right. One of the longest shows of the tour, though why Elvis pitched in with this choice is hard to tell, maybe just the fact of a day off between the New York show and the trip to Atlanta energised him and The Attractions. There is a lovely mini "Almost Blue" country set in one of the encores with a rare appearance of "Colour Of the Blues" and the other slightly more frequently performed songs from his Nashville album which bolster the setlist and "High Fidelity" puts in a rare-ish appearance. Elvis acknowledges his whereabouts after "Green Shirt" by offering to sing "Rainy Night In Georgia" and faintly "Georgia On My Mind" ? There are a couple of glitches, one at the start of "The Beat" and another during "Two Steps From the Blues". During "Pump It Up", Elvis introduces Pete as "the empire state of stick and the Midnight Train From Georgia". Slightly surprisingly, given the extended length of the gig, Elvis chooses not to do James Brown 's "I Feel Good (I Got You) " towards the end of the gig but closes with a sedate "Clowntime Is Over". You can almost hear The Attractions dashing off before Elvis call out any more. I took these files from the Elvis Costello wiki rather than those posted on here and acted on them in my own cack-handed way. My lineage: FLAC files from wiki > TLH > wav files > Nero Platinum for separation and pitch adjustment > TLH > FLAC >you
