It's a resolutely fuggy, analogue-sounding creation, featuring The Imposters and The Crescent City Horns. And if Costello's word torrents don't always sit easy within the generic structures of New Orleans R&B, that doesn't mean it isn't a delight in several places. The title track is the one that really sticks. But "Ascension Day" and "All These Things" are lovely and the playing's tasty. Hell, just roll with it. | ||
