It's a resolutely fuggy, analogue-sounding creation, featuring The Imposters and The Crescent City Horns. And if Costello's word torrents don't always sit easy within the generic structures of New Orleans R&B, that doesn't mean it isn't a delight in several places. The title track is the one that really sticks. But "Ascension Day" and "All These Things" are lovely and the playing's tasty.
