George Harrison was only 20 when The Beatles came out with "Please Please Me"

And that other Elvis was only 19 when he recorded some of his best material, like his early Sun sides.

Carl Wilson was only 19 when he sang the gorgeous lead vocal on "God Only Knows" from Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys.

Dave Davies of The Kinks was just a lad, performing on Kinks, Kinda Kinks, Kink Kontroversy, Face To Face, and Something Else By The Kinks all before he reached 21.

This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.

Let's just all remember that there's a major difference between a young person expressing themselves and a TV station or a businessman trying to find a bunch of pretty faces and selling them as music.

It's hard to say that musicians shouldn't be in the biz until they are 21, because everything is so passionate before that age. You feel everything so deeply. Some people let those feelings out into music and it captures a lot of their soul.

That's what I was going to say.... even if a songwriter doesn't sing about the problems he or she is going through growing up, he or she still often will make reference to them as an adult. Look at someone like Bruce Springsteen.

True..but in most instances in todays..up and comers...you don't get much reflective music..from the under 21 set...

Though there are some out there that are remarkable songwriters..

Unfortunately there are just as many that are created by the industry to make me wish I could turn off my hearing....

For every Norah Jones and Michelle Branch..there are about 4 of the other..obnoxious kind out there...

That's another thing.... what's worse? The 24-40 year olds who pretend they are 18, or the 18 year olds who act their age?

Definitely the older ones trying too hard to be younger. It's too obvious. Everyone who's over the age of 18 knows what 18 looks like.

Exactly. I was never fond of Madonna, but for a while it seemed like she was finally maturing; with that song "Don't Tell Me" (the re-write of Joe Henry's "Stop") a few years ago, for example, and even playing guitar!

Now she's kissing and duetting with Britney?

They are both just as evil...

though the older ones should know better...

But do we ever really know...when we decide to go through that 2nd childhood...

Yeah, I think some people do. And some people do it with more dignity than others.
