I don't think these will be Spinning Songbook shows, but rather just a summer concert with the Imposters, maybe more along the lines of what they did in 2003.

I'd expect more dates to be announced.

You'd think Bonnaroo (June 9-12) would fit in here.

Interesting to see Elvis revisit Royal Oak in Detroit, where he played in 1978, and I think the Sony Centre in Toronto used to be the O'Keefe Centre, again the site of 1978 Elvis shows.

Gathering of the Vibes? Ugh. This is an annual festival held in beautiful Bridgeport CT (where I currently live, and if you saw the recent Family Guy Xmas episode with a reference to the Park City you'll get my sarcasm) set up by a bunch of local Deadheads to fill the void left by the passing of Jerry Garcia. Every year it attracts thousands, and the two hospitals in town double up their staffs to handle the overload of overdoses and whatnot. Best of all, I can hear the thumping of the bass from the festival all three days from my driveway.

If he's going to play Bridgeport, I really wish he'd do a show at the Klein Auditorium. It's much cleaner, there's less chance of having something slipped in your drink or being puked on, and there's plenty of free parking.

I know...I'm an awful fan. But a crowd full of professional and poser hippies threatens to be more Altamont than Woodstock. Still, I'm on the fence. We'll see what develops.
