Cannot tell you exactly where I was that day when I heard Jimi Hendrix had died but I remember being stunned and feeling leaden by the news. That summer his album "Cry of Love" was a constant on my turntable. Forty years and still remains a memory I cannot let go. If anyone should question why this would still matter I reference a few items as a poignant reminder of what was lost that day:
