From the archives?

Post by Top balcony »

Hi Folks

It's a long story, but my wife has done some voluntary work on the archives of the Great George Project at "the Blackie" in Liverpool. This is the scene of some of our Dec's first ventures into the limelight, apparently for the princely sum of 50p according to the Wirral News. and this seems to be corroborated in the Lies section of the official site :

"1971: First paid public performance at St. Georges Project, Liverpool. Short solo set is rewarded with a fee of 50 pence"

Anyway I'm keen to know more and will email the guy in charge of putting the records together asking for more info, however it's a bit of a stab in the dark at present, and the Wiki is silent on this matter. So does anyone have a decent handle on the dates, or any other details which could help in the search? To be kind the paperwork is in a bit of a mess! The enterprise is now known as the "Black-E".

All contributions gratefully received.
