Remarkable! Good on you, Stewy. I love all your sites! Now I never knew he'd done a cover of 'Hopelessly Devoted To You', and it's de-lovely! I get confused over what I do or don't have on all those bonus CDs, downloads, gifts from kind donors, etc., so will have to do some checking on some of these! You don't have info compiled on dates/origins of these, by any chance, do you? The ec.info.wiki will be handy. I notes straight off that Autumn Leaves isn't listed there.
This is great and each month will be happily marked by this public service EC-sharing.
On a separate note, followed some of your links and ... The Piranhas! Their hits 'Tom Hark' (as in 'Top of the league, you're having a laugh' etc.) and 'Zambesi' are remembered fondly, but the only vinyl I have of theirs is the wonderful 'Jilly/Coloured Music' 45. The cover lists 'Jilly' first as if the a-side, but the label says CM is. Jilly is the one I loved ('I've got spots and greasy hair, Jilly, Jilly, Jilly, Jilly don't care' - wonderful). Is 'Coloured Music' the only song ever to send up coloured vinyl as its theme ('Records are cool/Hang them on the wall')? I must have Tom Hark on a tape off Peel somewhere, and probably other Piranhas tracks too as I really liked them, but I'd love to hear 'Tom Hark' again. On one of your download sites?
I've got in my head somewhere a lyric which I think is theirs about 'I'll send my giro to Cairo'. Found this para in a review of Nick Hornby's '31 Songs':
'For me, it is enough that the Golinski Brothers' obscure but, trust me, unforgettable record includes the lines: 'Still you gotta have a laugh [pause] ha ha ha ha' and: 'Send my Giro to Cairo', and 'Fugitive' the couplet: 'I raised a lotta cane back in my younger days. My momma used to pray my crops would fail.' I mean, come on. Beat that.'
Don't remember that band name at all, but maybe that's the one and not The Piranhas. 'I wanna go where they've never seen snow, I'll send my giro to Cairo'.

Stewy - I can only concur with the positive comments.
Otis - from memory the Hopelessly Devoted To You story goes something along the lines of Olivia Newton John requesting tickets for an Australian show and EC & The A's knocked up a version of this in the afternoon which they played that night. I think it was the only time they ever played it.

How can I download these mp3's on a mac computer?
Re: Brand New Costello Web Page, June 1st
Run your cursor over the track you want, and a blue box with an arrow should appear. Click on that, and select "download". It shoud work from there.

Stewy , I would just like to belatedly thank you for the great site , and not just the EC stuff, the 70s , Punk selection and Peel Sessions are all great, and have even tipped off a couple of Punk luvin' mates to some of the treasures you have made available, thanks again , littletriggers . Also loved the Readymades track .
