Momofuku Poll #1 - How will you buy it?
Momofuku Poll #1 - How will you buy it?
I'm just curious as to how people around here are planning to buy Momofuku.
This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.
Re: Momofuku Poll #1 - How will you buy it?
I don't have a vinyl player anymore (although I still have a few vinyl records), so I'm only going for the CD!

Vinyl and CD.
Strangely enough, my vinyl copy was missing the free download card!

CD. I'm not very interested in *any* of the technological debates over music delivery systems, whether it be nostalgia for LPs or embrace of MP3s. Right now I'm geared to CD so that's how I'll buy this.
I must say, I AM looking forward to the album. I got a bit weary of Elvis's ramblings over the past decade; while I always loved his eclecticism, he seems too often in recent years to have traded urgency and inspiration for rather scholarly writing exercises, and the gulf between eclecticism and simple lack of focus narrowed considerably for me. I'm not sure why, but I get the impression that this album promises to be a bit of a return to a more focused and urgent Elvis. Or maybe I just needed a break. Bring it on!

CD - Vinyl too impractical - all that turning over! Just hope it gets released on CD over here. Really looking forward to it.

CD. I'd buy both CD and vinyl if I had my druthers, but my money supply says otherwise. Not having something on CD bothers me. I like something I can put in my disc drive and make mp3s out of at any time.

If you do the vinyl + MP3 download you can still burn yourself a copy and do whatever you please with it.StrictTime wrote:CD. Vinyl and CD. I'm not going to burn the free download into a CD but I will carry it in my mp3 player. The cd will probably stay in my car for the rest of the year.

Sam- I dislike burned CDs. They feel....incomplete to me. I know I'd have the vinyl, but, eh. I find CDs a happy medium, as they still have artwork and credits, but are more portable.

Glad it went to a worthy recipient!so lacklustre wrote:Waiting for CD, but have just benefitted from someone who got two download codes (they must've got migdd's, sorry dude). Just synching the ipod now.
Honestly, with a copy of the LP in hand and the CD on the way, I wasn't going to use the dowload.

Incidentally, I've seen written elsewhere that the LP version is pressed on heavy vinyl. This is not the case. Seems to be fairly standard vinyl to me - certainly nowhere near the lovely 180-gram discs of the Nick Lowe Jesus of Cool reissue.

Downloaded from Napster last night, CD arrived from HMV today.
No booklet, no lyrics, only 12 tracks - this will mean deluxe version very soon!

After enjoying it as an 'advance copy' the past few days, picked it up for 11.99 American at my local independent this morning. Good price- only $1 more than the iTunes download.

I bought it on vinyl and cd. Figured it would be nice to have the large cover of the lp.
