I'm Not There (was Todd Hayne's Dylan biopic (sort of))

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

The film was mentioned somewhere on the board, but I couldn't find the thread.
Anyway, here are a few pictures of Cate Blanchett as young Bob Dylan.

This should be an interesting project, that's for sure.

Thanks for sharing, IP!

Just stumbled upon this:

LEDGER STUNNED BY BLANCHETT'S DYLAN

HEATH LEDGER was so blown away by fellow Aussie CATE BLANCHETT's performance as BOB DYLAN in new movie I'M NOT THERE, he's convinced the actress even smelled like the folk-rock icon. Blanchett is one of a handful of stars, including Ledger, taking on Dylan's persona for the quirky new film, but the actor insists her makeover is the most stunning of all. He says, "The footage I've seen of this film is beyond astounding. Cate Blanchett has done such an incredible transformation in this movie, it's gonna blow you away. "She walks, talks, sings, smells like Bob Dylan."

What a coincidence, that Allen Ginsberg should appear on a Golf cart just as Dylan is driving past.

A new six-minute clip has surfaced from the film. It features Cate Blanchett as Dylan going electric at the Newport Folk Festival, Richard Gere as Dylan going horseback riding and Christian Bale as the "born again" Dylan singing "Pressin' On" (apparently that's actually John Doe of X doing the singing)

No "Like A Rolling Stone" ?
That's pretty, well, eccentric for a Dylan biopic.
