I did a search and found the September 4th show had been posted about a year ago but couldn't find this one, if it has been here before I'm sorry for the repeat.

I recieved this originally on tape at least 20 years ago. I had it out to do some cleaning up of the transitions, etc for a snail mail trade and thought I'd share it with anyone that might need it since it's one of the earliest recorded full shows (there is one earlier show that circulates).

The quality is better than I remember and actually pretty good, I would guess the generation is low but I don't know what it is exactly.

I hope some fellow dimers can use it and I realize the hardcore Costello collector's likely have lineage, if you do please post it but in the meantime...

Enjoy!

Surprisingly good-sounding show -- a real gem.

Only problem is -- as one of the posters pointed out -- it runs slow.
It's not all that noticable on the vocals and instruments, but my 1st reaction was "jeez, what a relaxed and deliberate-sounding approach to the material for such an early show".
(It didn't make sense, given the all-out frenetics of all of the other early shows...)

Anybody know how to change the pitch/tempo on files using Nero?
Or or is it even possible?

Open a music file in 'Nero Wave Editor', choose Tools > Time Correction > Beats per Minute, and Bob's your uncle.

Can be a bit tricky getting it just right, but if you have one of the 'officially released' tracks on CD it could act as a reference point.

Good luck.

Thank you, sir.
