February 28th = day of awesomeness

Post by danimal3114u »

Anyone else really amped about "My Flame Burns Blue"? It should be really really good, and I found this little sample that just made my feelings that much more certain:

I'm pretty sure we're being attacked by marketing pimps. If that's the case, we already f'n know Elvis has an album due!!!!! Thanks for the heads up, now go away!

If either of you are legit fans, please accept my apologies....although that's highly unlikely.

I agree with you, Turquoise, these do like like plants from the little hitlers in marketing. I got a ghastly email asking me to become an 'Attractives' and help flog the album. These sort of stunts are common with flogging boy/girl bands and similiar teenie fodder. They've badly misread Elvis 'target market' if they think it'll work with us. I doubt if Elvis has had any say in it, he just delivers the product and hopes they dont mess it up too much.

I got the same email about becoming an Attractive. Anyone who knows me will know that only plastic surgery can help that happen. And then some.

All we need is the re-emergence of Katie from the Street Team and we're complete.

By the way what is the midnight sale thing?

Yes Ma'am.

Anyone else really amped about "My Flame Burns Blue"? It should be really really good, and I found this little sample that just made my feelings that much more certain:

It's marked on my calendar. I'm hoping there will be a record number of people logged on to the board [at a time to be determined] so we can all celebrate the awesomeness that will be in the air

Why such a long delay between the Australia/Japan release and the US/UK release? I want this NOW, dammit! :)

I'm a lot more excited about River in Reverse and the Juliet Letters reissue than I am about this record.
This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.

I am too, but those are still a few months away - and I need my EC fix now.

I'd say I am feeling more "stoked" than "amped". A subtle distinction, but crucial.

Personally, I think the whole thing is 'rad.' Maybe even 'bitchin'.' I'm even 'psyched.'
