My Brave Face!
My Brave Face!
This song is incredible... but McCartney's Flowers In The Dirt version nearly destroys it. I have the demo, and a couple of live versions- but did Elvis ever venture into the studio to record a solo version? Or has he featured it any live tours?
Oy with the poodles, already!

I believe this version is from a documentary on the making of Flowers In The Dirt. It's very similar to the way he played in on tour in 1989. I don't know if he ever did his own studio take.whar wrote:- I just found what sounds like a studio version by Elvis. He does chuckle in the middle, which hints at it being live- but with the quality and lack of any crowd noise you wouldnt know the difference.

This is such a great great song all around. I sort of avoided the whole McCartney-Costello thing, apparently I've made a mistake.
I'm loving McCartney's version of That Day Is Done, although I'm sure the popular opinion is that it shouldn't have been given the 'special effects treatment' (I think it worked out perfectly for the track).
