This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

For full use of lungs:
Lorraine Ellison - Stay With Me Baby
Jennifer Holliday - And I'm Telling You (I'm Not Going)

For restrained vulnerability:
Michael Jackson - She's Outta My Life
Joe Cocker - You Are So Beautiful to Me

Add in pretty much anything by Otis Redding/James Carr/Al Green.

BTW I lent a James Carr CD to a chum who reported that his wife wouldn't let him play it to the end - it was too sad!
