Elvis on rather decent Country compilation

Post by johnfoyle »

This not at all bad compilation - despite the
terrible title - features I`m Your Toy by Elvis and
co.

In Dublin record stores this morning I also
saw it on another collection called The Essential
Country Album. A double disc set it has credits
thanking people from two Irish record stores
(Mulligans - Galway , Tower Reords- Dublin) for help
in compiling it. I can`t find on Amazon UK so I
presume it`s a release for the Irish market. I can`t
remember the label it was on.

country - another heard from

The Willie Nelson tribute concert that featured Diana and Elvis singing together has been made into an album, called Willie Nelson and Friends: Live and Kickin'. I haven't heard it yet so don't know if it's worth having, but for those interested, I think other guests include Eric Clapton, Norah Jones, Wyclef Jean, John Mellencamp, Steven Tyler and Leon Russell.

LC your opinion is COMPLETELY wrong!

Maybe it's not that good.....I think it's just that Diana and Willie are singing all countrily and sultrily, and you're just worried to DEATH that Elvis will come in funnily....and right at the peak of the suspense and worry, Elvis comes in and ROCKS the song....just doing that thing he does.

I miss you folks.

Peace and love,
