Elvis shows on the Internet

Post by stormwarning »

Through the miracle of modern technology, I managed to record a CD of the internet broadcast of the Elvis/Steve/Brodsky Radio 2 show "Sold On Song" (thanks for the link Blue). This involved plugging my wireless LAN enabled laptop into an Audio CD recorder and then re-dubbing at a higher Db setting, for any techheads out there.

My question is, does anybody know if there's any other Elvis shows currently available on the internet ?

No problem storm,

The only other Elvis show I can think of is from the Santa Monica, California radio station KCRW. They have a great morning show called Morning Becomes Eclectic, that hosts a lot of cool musical guests. He appeared on the show in May of 2002. You can listen to an archived performance at the following link. Not nearly as exciting as Sold On Song, but an interesting listen nonetheless.

This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.

Thanks again Blue, that should keep me quiet for an hour or so.
The acoustic version of Tart is almost identical to the bonus track that is on the Japan edition of Cruel Smile.

BTW - did you know that iTunes for Windows is available ? I've been using it for the last hour or so and already prefer it to MusicMatch.

I downloaded it and think it blows away anything I ever used to play mp3's before. My girlfriend has a mac, and I really enjoyed playing around with iTunes.

StormWarning,

As well as the BBC Radio archives, there is Elvis stuff in the archives at http:\\www.wfuv.org - mostly interviews, but also Elvis as DJ!
