Just split a small pizza with my son-- black olives on his half, onions on mine.

Damn, all we do around here is eat! I'm at the last day of work before we have a sweet, sweet week off for MARDI GRAS! Light crowds this year owing to the early date, which we locals love. On Sunday, I'll be sitting on a balcony with several beverages watching the Super Bowl with one eye and the Bacchus parade with the other.

I took a day off from hard work. Am going to play some snooker in an hour or so.

Got another exorbitant gas bill yesterday. How is this possible? We kept the thermostat at 60 all month!

I'm a high school teacher. The archdiocese just accepted at one point that no one was going to show up anyway, and if they did they'd be too tired and or hungover to teach or learn. Most of us get little if any spring break as a payback though.

I just got back from work, had a shower and made myself a gin and tonic, after which I played my first (surprisingly adequate) versions of There's A Story In Your Voice, Either Side Of The Same Town and Needle Time. Now waiting for friends and band members to turn up so we can celebrate just signing our best record contract yet with cheap fake champagne, and to come up for a title for our newly finished record that everyone seems to enjoy immensely.

Life is good.

The Magnetic Fields just broke my ipod. At exactly 1.37 mins through "The Death of Ferdinand De Saussure" it froze and is frozen still.

Caught Million Dollar Baby this afternoon and I liked it very much. I can't talk too much about it for fear of spoiling it but I will say that the "twist" was very effective and in no way gimmicky as it was rooted in something central to Eastwood and Swank's characters.

Yesterday's fake champagne binge was so nice it's continued slowly but surely all day today and I still have two large bottles left for tonight. I'm going to Bo's.
