Looking good Jackson - I'm sure that photo's been doctored

When and where was the picture taken - ie how come the little boy behind you is wearing shorts? It's been freezing in this part of the world this year!

And who wears shorts to a wedding?

Boys under the age of 4 or so. Or boys under the age of 8 or so who're unlucky in the parental department.

Beautiful pup, Mug. You and that fast-growing boy are sure to enjoy her!

WSS, your brother looks like he could kick someone's ass. :) I hope he and his buddies stay safe there.

Fortunately he's not had occasion to do that yet, but I reckon he could. He was in Kuwait for a year and a half before this and was dead bored, which was fine by me. Really hoping he stays safe. He's supposed to be able to get back home briefly in July for his formal wedding celebration (he and his wife were married over the holidays in a quickie civil ceremony), and I'd like to see him come back in one piece.

Well, it's a bit early here to toast anything but a cup of joe, but here's to him coming back certainly in one piece for that ceremony. :)

My daughter took this one of me this morning with her little toy digital camera, before I'd had my first cup of coffee...

My oldest daughter took a picture of me on the beach. In my bathing suit. From behind.

And showed it to her friends.

And you wonder why some animals eat their young.

One of my son at a recent New York Philharmonic Young People's Concert. He was suprisingly well-behaved and did not hit anyone with the free conductor's baton he was given.

Hopefully he won't end up having to wear specs. Think he got his mother's eyesight, fortunately.

I loved the old city in Jerusalem when I visited in the 80s. Really wanted to take Mrs Monkster there, but a little worried about safety. How safe (or otherwise) did you feel BWAP?

MDM - I've just seen a donkey fly past my window. Sadly there is no way of proving this but I'm sure you can take my word for it.

Will you post the picture now?

I felt entirely safe both in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. I wouldn't hesitiate to go back with my wife - it really is a beautiful country.

Good stuff. I can't believe how I hitch-hiked around Israel back then. Didn't give a stuff about being kidnapped or sold as a concubine. I just bummed around picking oranges and taking parts as a movie extra.

By the way, if you watch carefully, you can still see me as an extra in 'Evil Under The Sun'.....a Peter Ustinov as Poirot classic...

It comes to something when you can't even go to a country and get kidnapped  or even be bought as a plaything (or pet).

If only you had a good agent who knows what else could have happened? The film world's loss is some other industry's gain.
