Don't make me do single word posts again although if I did I would have reached 1000 again by now!

What pleasures await when I join this club?

Just send those vestal virgins to this address...

This is my 1000th post (for the second time).

I'd like to thank my wife for her lack of interest in all things Costello  , Elvis, all the friends I've made through the board (whether I've met you or not) for their love, laughter and thought provoking debate and particular thanks to Plaything for being the first ever person to PM me.

If only she knew what she started. Or perhaps she does.

I oughta get a move on and bump up my total. 763 is really quite pathetic, even Poppet has more than me.

I remember it well, o Verbally one. I'm glad you caught me on a 'I think I'll be nice and help out a confused chappie' day that day.

Hi Plaything.

Only 1000+ members and their partners (Verbal now qualifies his debutant PoP) are permitted to post here, Mr. Average.

You must all surely be impressed that Blue's post count is actually minus the three months we lost during the board crash. 8)

When you bring in the Island Records' Elvis board and the narbawlz headed EC fan forum, I'm probably well over 4000.

It's no coincidence that his current avatar is David Niven.

4000 posts when you take the others into account? Wow!

Employing the BlueChair model of Cumulative posts from the beginning, I have easily surpassed the 1000+ mark. But, I stake no claim. I have no ambition to earn it for earning its sake. And I refuse, Bamboo, to start numerous concurrent thread retreads to build volume.

I love you, man. People crave predictability. For a reason that currently escapes me (although I am sure you have a legitimate cause), something about me really gets your goat.

I hope it wasn't something I said about Walter Becker or Donald Fagan.

Good Health, and God Bless.

Mr. Average,

The "legitimacy" of my causes may not be of your concern, and they might not be as malicious as you may suspect. But, fear not regardless-- if you knew how amazingly little you get my goat you might be able to laugh about it.

And if you were actually serious about levelling insinuation at me with
And I refuse, Bamboo, to start numerous concurrent thread retreads to build volume.
(pretty clear you were, not having seen that I was just mucking around) I would challenge you to cite two of my threads where you consider that this apparent retreading has ever occured... prove it.

I didn't know everything had to be "neccessary".

Well, it doesn't have to be "neccesary", but atleast it shouldn't be "completely useless".

You're a grown man, act like it.
