Return of Kevin and Dexy's

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

Kevin in heavily confessional mode for new Dexy's demo. I've always loved him. His blog is a screen. Like much of the nation, he's been glued to Celeb Big Brother this week, and has typically outspoken views on it (class not race, etc.).

viewing figures of 4/5 million is hardly "much of the nation".

What an amazing link Otis! Thank you.

The demo is great. Reminiscent of Don't Stand Me Down. Which over time has become my favorite Dexy's release.

Indeed. Rather good, no?

It is in TV terms.

WSS: it's been a massive mediafest involving class, race, cultural difference and bullying. it's made for the some of the most uncomfortable TV I can remember seeing in terms of sheer unpleasantness of behaviour, and has led to Gordon Brown's trip to India being overshadowed by the whole thing.

Johanna, Manhood and My Life In England (part 1) are all great songs, imho. And the 2003 tour was great, I thought. I ACHE for a new album.
