What are you drinking right now?

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

Do I detect a coffee snob? :D

I think it's a matter of opinion, really - in the same way that some would argue the only real way to have a pizza is with just tomato sauce, mozarella and a bit of basil. I can drink coffee black, but I find a touch of skim milk usually mellows it a bit without compromising the flavour. The vanilla soy was a recent discovery and is very much an occasional thing. I never put sugar in my coffee or tea though... too sweet.
This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.

Lion Kona Coffee - pitch black - the way it was intended!

My father gets shipments of this stuff a few times a year and always provides me with a few bags. Some of it is the flavored stuff - macadamia, vanilla, etc. - but I like the 100% Kona the best. Just hitting my caffeine rush now.

Water. Hand drawn from the tap in the sink into a cherished 1/2 gallon gatorade bottle, chilled to 45 degrees and lovingly poured into last year's "summer" plastic cup. The one with blue and green fish swimming on it..

BTW, I made oily slick drink a shitload of Southpaw the other night. I assume he still has the souvenir headache.

Coffee. With the same vanilla soy milk as Blue used yesterday. From a giant Disney-themed mug.

Are you trying to wind me up? Fair dues, you reserve the right to pollute the finest non-alcoholic drink civilisation ever happened upon with whatever you choose. Coffee snob, moi? Well I will only drink it black and strong, and all tea black too.

I'm also a sherry snob. Pathetically associated with blue rinse aunts over here, but in the south of Spain it's what the boys drink. Am on La Gitana manzanilla. Lovely. Manzanilla is like fino, i.e. bone dry, but comes from Sanlúcar de Barrameda as opposed to Jeréz, and the coastal vineyards impart an extra salt tang. Lovely stuff. I need to finish the bottle before heading to northern Spain on hol on Thurs, it just won't be fresh enough a week later, so I just have to keep on at it...

"Sherry?"

"Sherry".

"Sherry".

I never forgave the very mad great auntie who gave me sherry with treacle sandwiches as a child.

I'm in the middle of a cold bottle of Stella Artois.

I'm in the black coffee club as well, though I will occasionally get a latte or a cappuccino (the one I have in front of me is a bit less photogenic, in a paper cup) and skim milk *is* best for that-- makes the best foam. Otherwise, strong black coffee + skim milk = hot greeny-brown stuff. And I can't can't can't abide sugar in coffee or tea.

Peet's coffee is my fave.

And did you manage to drink more than one bottle without wanting to beat anybody up?

I am currently drinking coffee from our work's Flavia machine. It's OK. :|

White and sweet. Just like my women.

Coca-Cola Classic. I got in argument with my (jackass) brother in law about "classic" no longer being on the label, since we've almost forgotten all about New Coke.

I was wrong. The horror, the horror.

I'm buying some arak soon from one of the Serbian bricklayers I'm working with. They sip it throughout the day and a nip is enough to get you well warmed up and flying. Am drinking lemon juice from real lemons with a bit of sugar.

Sex on the beach and tequila sunrise at the clubs yesterday. And diet cocke to recompensate right now.

He said every man's conscience is vile and depraved,
You cannot depend on it to be your guide
When it's you who must keep it satisfied

I've spent a week on this:

Image

Well not on it, cos I was driving a hired car, but having enough on outings annd then eating loads and getting all safe and sober before driving again. Cider is the standard drink in Asturias, north-west Spain. grapes don't grow well there. It's lovely stuff, and correctly poured from a metre or so from the glass. They thow away the remnants of the last glass and pour it on the floor a lot, though I got pretty shit-hot with my technique after a week and wasted almost none on my last night.

Image

The height gives some extra life and bubble to it. It goes well with food, is a bit like real English cider, very pure and natural. Costs about 3 euros for a 75cl bottle!

Kona is found pretty regularly around here. Had it many times. This morning though had a chocolate-raspberry blend of coffee - very tasty.
