For some reason I thought he was on the east coast, in Alicante or Valencia, but Puerto de Santa Maria is a lovely town in the province of Cadiz in Andalucia. Osborne have their bodega there. I have very vivid memories of spending a day there visiting an scondary school in a beautiful old building and having lunch in one of the delicious fish eateries. It's very mellow, very sunny and everyone's drinking fino, the lovely dry sherry, which is one of my favourite drinks. Bougainvillea (if that's how you spell it). I wonder why he went there.
Hang on, he just recorded the record there, he is in Altea, nr Valencia:

You are possessed of evil spirits that must be exorcised!
You must burn it now before it is too late. SAVE YOURSELF!!

echos myron like a siren
with endurance like the liberty bell
and he tells you of the dreamers
but he's cracked up like the road
and he'd like to lift us up, but we're a very heavy load

Lately I've been enjoying something newish -
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000EG ... coding=UTF
8
Hardest Walk
Soledad Brothers
......and something grabbed from my shelves that I'd forgotten about -
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00004 ... nce&n=5174
Low to the Ground
The Waxwings
Original Release Date: May 16, 2000
The former has some great guitar rock , with a truly splendid 'hidden track at the end , consisting of about ten minutes of guitars 'n drums jamming all over the place. The latter has a load of gorgeous harmony singing , compensating for some rather ordinary drum sounds. I see they've had a follow up album , available depressingly cheaply on Amazon.....so I ordered a copy.

Sounds of Silence?
John Cage's 2'37 or whatever it's called?
I'm playing Josh Rouse's Subtitulo which I've kinda got as a late present for a friend with it taking a quick detour via my iTunes. Very nice. Mellowed out Southern Spain vein, no bad thing. His songs and voice are sounding very like Paul Simon at times. Not sure it's the equal of Nashville, but it sounds like, as Bad Amb said, it has melodies that will stick in the head after a few plays.
