RIP Darren McGavin

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

RIP Darren McGavin

Post by noiseradio »

This makes me really sad. Darren McGavin, who played the Old Man in Christmas Story, has died. You may also remember him as the Nightstalker. That movie has become an integral part of my holiday season, ever since I first saw it as a kid, and his performance is probably the single greatest factor in my enjoyment of the film.

You'll be missed. I hope when you arrive in heaven that you're greeted with a major award.

Yeah, we can always count on Cope for his emotionally driven comments.

I loved this movie. I saw it at the theatre in college on one of the worst dates of my life. Fortunately the movie was funny as hell. If it hadn't been the whole night would have been a waste. Seen it a million times since then.

RIP

Please don't hijack this thread, dude. I love than man in that role, and you need to try really hard not to be a prick.
