The UK and Ireland leg of Costello & Nieve In Concert kicks off at the Theatre Royal, Glasgow on September 5, 2024.

This will be Elvis' 30th appearance in Glasgow, but his first at the Theatre Royal. Presumably this venue was judged to be better suited to the Costello Nieve format than, say, Barrowlands! The Theatre Royal is the oldest theatre in Glasgow and the longest running in Scotland. It seats 1,541 happy punters.

'The first live outing for some of these songs will be on 5th September at Glasgow’s Theatre Royal, where I’m supporting the great Elvis Costello. But there'll be more live outings later in the year.'

'On 24th October, my novel “That Beautiful Atlantic Waltz” will be published by @CanongateBooks, together with an album of the same name. Each of the songs is ostensibly written by the central character, and all but one of them appear as handwritten lyrics within the book itself.'
