Alison - 45 Single Mix

Post by mickyg »

I have just listened to my original UK vinyl single of Alison for the first time in many years. It fades much earlier than the album mix (3:26) and is the same length as the version on Girls Girls Girls (2:52). I assume these mixes are the same and the compilation is the only place to get the original single mix on CD. Can anyone confirm please?

I’m pretty sure it’s also on The Man (The Best Of Elvis Costello). https://www.discogs.com/release/2473510 ... s-Costello

Is it on the 'Singles volume 1' CD boxset?

I remember the Amercian overdubbed version is on there. But I'm not sure bout teh short sigle mix? It should!

I checked https://www.discogs.com/release/2283186 ... s-Volume-1 and the timing seeems to suggest album version?
