Blood and Chocolate Survivor - Round 8
Home is Anywhere You Hang Your Head is out. I really like the story of this song as well as the gloomy instrumental, but I can see why it was voted out. It is not as energetic and upbeat as the other songs remaining.

"Can't you see? My band is up there."
Re: Blood and Chocolate Survivor - Round 8
It had to go eventually, but it's such a brilliant, brilliant song.
I always see this as Elvis's view of his songwriting persona - taking the mickey out of his twisted love songs. But is anyone listening any more, he wonders:
"The world has wiped its mouth since then - or maybe it was yawning."
The whole swoony, weary vibe is hypnotic, and that Pete drum fill in the middle is always a thrill. I never get sick of this incredible song.

Not a big surprise but I'm still gutted to see it go. Great song.
If you don't know what is wrong with me
Then you don't know what you've missed

Also LOVE:
'You tore him out and screwed him up, like a bad page in a naughty picture book.'
Love the imagery, and also how Elvis dares to break the scansion and pulls it off with success, making it an even better song!
