Since you put me down, it seems i've been very gloomy. You may laugh but pretty girls look right through me.
Re: Elvis solo, London (UK), May 2016
I had to miss out on his UK Detour this year because the venues were too far away and I spent all my money on Paul McCartney tickets... So I hope this news is true!! Time to save! Probably can't afford all four dates, but will be determined to go to at least two.*
*This will probably change to all four after I meet him on Thursday and get a little too excited. My poor bank account.

According to the Ents24 link, the ticket prices range from £43.30 to £95 with booking fee.
Those front stalls tickets will be mightily expensive...

I've gone for the £95 tickets on Saturday night which are in the front row.
I'll book another date later or nearer the time.

Re: Elvis solo, London (UK), May 2016
Having just bought tickets for Wilco's only London show in ages a whole 12 months away (Brixton Academy, what a gig that will be), I was relieved to find this was more of the same and I felt no need to shell out more! I'm sure it will be nice to see him at the Palladium.
There's more to life than books, you know, but not much more

Re: Elvis solo, London (UK), May 2016
Maybe not.
I reckon the VIP aspect is more about the Prosecco and not about the seats !
They might be stalls seats but I bet they're not the actual "VIP" ones at the front two rows.

2 tickets at £60 means the wine is £39!

Re: Elvis solo, London (UK), May 2016
VIP seats are being sold as far as row D - pssshhhhh! NO. I got normal price ticket in row E centre - just as good but much cheaper! Kind of annoying now we have to fork out VIP prices to sit near the front. I hope this won't become a more common thing from now on!
I did get up front row centre VIP tickets on the day of sale on Ents24, but the website is absolutely pants! Some error occurred and my selection disappeared and I never saw them again.
So that's the first two nights attending. Might consider Fri and Sat if I ever find some decent seats nearer the date.
*cough* *hint* PLAY ANYTHING FROM 'WHEN I WAS CRUEL' PLEASE, ELVIS *cough* *hint*

Another one being that the London Palladium is owned by the Really Useful Theatre Group, which in turn is wholly owned by Andrew Lloyd Webber.Top balcony wrote:this is wrong on so many levels....
Will we see Elvis perform "God's Comic" on the Palladium stage?

Of course we will. I bet it's played on all 4 nights at the Palladium and reference is made to Requiem.Man out of Time wrote:Another one being that the London Palladium is owned by the Really Useful Theatre Group, which in turn is wholly owned by Andrew Lloyd Webber.
