This process you described happens a lot to me, specially with EC's albums. Sometimes I listen to a song and I don't give it the proper importance at first but later, in another day or night, in another mood, under different "conditions of temperature and pressure" it just "captures" me.

Also, the greatest thing about Elvis career is that he doesn't get stuck in a label or genre or anything. That's exactly what I love about him. There's Elvis for everyone! lol
