Introducing myself to the group (my first post here)

Post by Stuart Gardner »

Greetings, all.
I thought I'd make my first post here a fast word of introduction.
My name is Stuart Gardner and I'm a fifty year old Costello fanatic living in Savannah, Georgia. I've followed the man's career avidly since shortly after the release of his debut album, so why I've waited this long to join this site is a mystery to me.
That Costello is the single greatest songwriter in history seems so self evident to me that I have to remind myself that this is, after all, a matter of opinion. I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir here.
My family opened a record shop (Rock-N-Easy Records, now defunct) in Brunswick, Georgia, the year My Aim Is True was released. I fell in love with the album and looked forward the man's next release, and from that day to this I've eagerly snapped all of them up as quickly as they hit the shelves, and I've yet to be disappointed.
Actually, I have to correct that. I don't have (and haven't heard) National Ransack yet, a fact which is driving me crazy.
So again, hello! I look forward to much lively discussion here.

Welcome.

I agree that DPAM is one of the best ever writers/composers (performers), with others of my favourites e.g. Bob D./Paul S./Lennon-Mc/Joni M. etc ...

Welcome Stuart.

Do you have any Elvis experiences to tell us about?

Thanks for the welcomes, all, and for National Ransack, Otis (you are PMd)!
No, no Elvis experiences to speak of other than thousands of thrilling hours listening to him.
