Elvis was in the building during Saturday night's NHL playoff game between the Vancouver Canucks and Nashville Predators.

Elvis Costello performed his hit song Pump It Up with local Vancouver band Odds in the moments before the opening faceoff. Costello, wearing a hat and sunglasses, was shown performing on the video screen on the scoreboard.

Odds play live during game breaks at playoff games.

Costello is married to jazz pianist and singer Diana Krall, who was born in Nanaimo, B.C.

Nice pix. I would be sleeping behind those shades. Shades are good for that kind of thing, along with some ear plugs... I've heard it's quite a scene to watch a live hockey game, but I couldn't handle the pummeling aspect of the game. Baseball is more my speed.
