IP - what gorgeous kids you have.
And congrats Legman.
Muggy - I like the new colour but then you're always going to be lovely no matter what colour your hair is.

I wish I could accept this award, Moody, because it really is a lovely and peaceful place. Alas, we only stayed there for one week of our holidays. We missed it so much afterwards that we went there for one of September weekends, too. That's when the pics were taken.

Okay, finally. Pics from Munich.
This first one was taken just a few hours after we landed and had thrown our luggage into the hotel. As usual, the kids are doing a fine job of representing America while in a foreign country.
This one was taken on Sunday while visiting one of the castles at the foot of the Alps. The other two small blond children belong to the business colleague of Doc's that invited him to speak for the week. This lovely family took two vehicles and drove us around the whole day throughout the countryside. Although the two German children couldn't speak much English and my kids couldn't speak much German, somehow they managed to play together the entire day and didn't want to part when the day was over.
This was taken by Jessica while Doc and I were enjoying a mug in the beergarden at English Gardens in front of the Chinese Tower.

Great pictures Spooky.
I love the way Jessica is disassociating herself from the boys in the first one
The second one is almost Von Trapp like!
And the third one shows what a great couple you both are although I'm surprised there is only one beer glass. And don't tell me size is important!

Actually, that was our last day in Munich and we
were sharing a glass - mainly because we had already been drinking in the Marketplace just a couple of hours before. Then later we drank with dinner and then went to the bar after dinner.

That beer is enormous.
Congrats, legman!
This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.

Love your Germany photos Spooky, especially good of you and the Doc. Glad to have you back. Thanks for posting the pic.
I love this thread, the way it completes a picture in your mind of seeing the person as you read what they write. Good to see you all!
Thanks for all the best wishes. I may have to rethink the name, but that's a line in one of my most favorite songs.

With just 167 posts in over 2 years, I don't think Voice Of America fits!
It's not bad though. A good one for an ambitious newbie.

this is Oily Slick's pal Pat, who apparently hangs out with Undead. while wearing his graduation cap!
No, wait, that's John Hiatt, the Master of Disaster.
