RIP Luther Vandross

Post by invisible Pole »

(CNN) -- Legendary R&B artist Luther Vandross, whose smooth, silky voice gave soul to songs about life, love and relationships, died Friday. He was 54 years old.

I never really cared for his music, but 54 is much too young, and seeing him as a backing vocalist for David Bowie circa Young Americans video footage will always make me smile. RIP.
This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.

He was a terrific singer, sadly, like so many good singers of his generation, he rarely seemed to sing a good song. Still, very sorry to hear about it.

Blue: that's my only real association for Luther, bless 'im, and he made a very fine job if it too. That, and being amazed in an East End curry house once where a table ot white-socked, overweight, shaven-headed seaside thugs were going on about how great the new LP was. So incongruous.

It's quite possible that he's responsible for the conception of my younger sister. He was a hell of a singer, and I'll miss him.

Ah, no! But his voice was most likely in the room...
