Man Called Uncle used in Letterman

Post by BrilliantMistake45 »

In the beginning of a segment called "Words from John Kerry" they introed and ended the clip with Steve's piano part in the beginning of MCU. It made my night.
I wish that I could push a button
And talk in the past and not the present tense
And watch this hurtin' feeling disappear
Like it was common sense
It was a fine idea at the time
Now it's a brilliant mistake

They've used EC before. I've heard a snippet of "Clown Strike" played in between Biff Henderson's man-on-the-street segments.

Paul has an ear for the outstanding, so it doesn't surprise me that he samples Steve. And Will Lee, a huge talent, has been on record as a reverent fan of Elvis Costello and the Attractions. I am certain that he has performed sessions with Pete Thomas, but I couldn't tell you who it was in support of.

Anyone know?
