Gin and Costello
I think EC prefers gin. Can't blame him
Indoor Fireworks: "You were the spice of life, the gin in my vermouth"
Beyond Belief: "So in this almost empty gin palace"
You Tripped at Every Step: "In another world of gin and cigarettes"
Poisoned Rose: "Cos I threw away the gin"
All the Rage: "The sins of garter and gin"
Sittin n' thinkin: "I got loaded last night on a bottle of gin" (though cover)
Maybe theres a lot more, don't know since I still have not heard GCW

My Dad taught me to drink gin over vodka. He was a survivor of the three martini lunches during work in the 60's.
He said that gin leaves a strong odor on your breath, while vodka leaves relatively little odor.
When you come back to work after your 3 Gin martini lunch, you're boss will think you're drunk.
Whereas, when you come back from your 3 Vodka martini lunch, he'll just think your stupid.

This is obviously a question for our large UK contingent, but I always sort of thought that gin/gin and tonic was sort of the official cocktail of Great Britain.

The Deportees Club contains these lines:
Schnapps chianti porter and ouzo
Pernod vodka sambuca I love you so
Just About Glad has:
They called time and vodka and lime
In some far flung Canadian club
