Red and I just found out yesterday that we could get a really cheap deal on a NCL cruise sailing out of NYC to Florida & The Bahamas. We leave this Sunday and will be gone for a week.
Cruises are normally things people plan months in advance, and here we are leaving the day after tomorrow!

This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.

We went on an NCL liner when we went on honeymoon around Alaska last year
Apart from making sure you don't eat and drink too much (as if!), keep away from the casino. I know you'd want to win the world for Red but it'll leave you broke. Trust me - I'm a man that's been there (although obviously I was trying to win everything for Mrs VG and not Red!)
Have a great time

Tell Red she wont be able to have her hair in plaits and beaded now she has had it all cut off. I had mine done on the beach in the Bahamas and was know as the Bahama momma for the rest of the holiday!

I went on an Alaska cruise, Royal Carribean a few years back with my family. The company obviously wasn't quite as enthralling as you'll find (my roommate was one of my nephews -- who basically snored for the entire week...there's something strangely narcolepsy inducing about ocean cruises, especially, apparently, for teens).
On the other hand, I miraculously managed to not gain any weight and had a great time -- and, while I would never want to encourage you in a vice, I did win several hundred dollars playing blackjack -- about 1/3 of that won when I tied for second in a tournament. Apparently, it's a truism that at-sea slots are notoriously stingy (the things are set to pay out a certain amount -- I think they have to say what ). Wouldn't know because I don't touch the stupid things. And the craps had lousy rules (you won't understand this, but they Royal Carribean only offered 1x odds...robbery!). On the other hand, they had lovely rules on blackjack -- things like letting you split the third ace, not hitting soft 17, etc. (you probably won't understand those either).
Where was I? Oh, yeah. Have a great time!
