I can't recall the album, but if it is Luna Park it could also be in the Melbourne beach side suburb of St Kilda (we have two Luna Parks).Otis Westinghouse wrote:Luna Park, and I do believe that's Sydney, with you flying the ol' Ozzie flag. Why this should be on it, I don't know, but it's very purty with all those lights shining on the water. The big face is just insane.

Not a shift worker, just a powernapping night owl. At 10.26am I wasn't near a computer, just got home from work now and will have another soon.
The fun park pictured is definitely Luna Park in Sydney. I worked right behind it for several months but it was closed down at the time. I took a great picture of the harbour with LP in the corner, which I'll hopefully find and post here. Good one Otis, over to you.

I used to live almost behind it in Cliff Street - between what was then the SBS studios and the Kirribilli RSL.bambooneedle wrote:Not a shift worker, just a powernapping night owl. Just got home from work now and will have another soon.

Oh the relief!
So, continuing the Bowie theme: on Hunky Dory, Bowie plays 'the less complicated piano-parts'. Who is playing the more complicated ones?
PS I won't be here for another 12 hours, so if you're sure of the answer, feel free to ask a new one.

There's more to life than books, you know, but not much more
