Way to go Doofer!! Many happy more to come, I'm sure. I'm coming up on my own next week - 7 years for me.
So, how are you celebrating???
Or maybe we shouldn't know that.

Congratulations, that is something to celebrate. continued happiness to you and all of your family.
Love seems the swiftest, but it is the slowest of all growths. No man or woman really knows what perfect love is until they have been married a quarter of a century. - Mark Twain.
Though I'm a spinster I'm certain it's true, you will have to let us know.

Miss BA - That does inspire me hugely.......being maried to one person for 71 years must be amazing. How strong must that bond be ?
Lapins - That is a beautiful quote....I will indeed let you know.... if this board is still going in 15 years. A this rate we'll be celebrating our 25th Board and Elvis will be celebrating his 64th birthday with his first no 1 album.
Spooks - we went out for Dinner last night to a very nice Italian place. Both of us had a little too much Pinot Grigio! However, tomorrow is the big one. We have 100 people coming to our place for a MASSIVE BBQ party - we've turned the garage into a disco with balloon, disco lights and a very small mirror ball. All the neighbours are coming, so we can make all the noise we like. Mrs Doofster and I have been preparing all week. Expecting great night.....will fill you all in on Monday (don't think I'll be fit to do anything on Sunday!)
Many thanks for all your kind best wishes. I'd invite you to the 20th, but that might be a little premature...

Sincere wishes to both you and your wife, Jackson.
It is a big accomplishment and it deserves much recognition.
Take that from somebody who'll be marking their 20th next month. (I married so young, so young....) (I really did!)
Not an easy thing to do as I'm sure anyone, no matter what their relationship status, can attest to!
Staying married, that is....not marrying young!

I'm not angry anymore....

Jacks: Belated congrats to you and Mrs. Jacks. Celebrating these milestones --and, more importantly, each other-- is the way to keep it going! Staying married ain't always easy; acknowledge and indulge each other.
Ms. Lapins, that is indeed a great quote, gives me hope! (Am only half way to that milestone!)
