Elvishead?

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

Elvishead?

Post by BlueChair »

Who have you seen in concert the most times?

The most I've ever seen anybody live is three times. But I'm still going

Elvis Costello - three times (after March 2004)
Bob Dylan - three times
Bruce Springsteen - twice
The Rolling Stones - twice
Neil Young - twice (once with CSNY, once solo)
This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.

Elvis - 4 times
(unless you count seeing him host Letterman because he did sing that time, then, you know, 5 times . . .)

You lucky person, I would have killed to see him in concert. Any particular favourite live recordings by him that you'd recommend?

Frank Black (& the Catholics) - 6 times
Elvis Costello - 3 times - all with Miss. Mug!
Liz Phair - 3 times

I think those are the only people I've seen multiple times, aside from random local bands.

Ah, Tallulah, always there when I need you! So, did I get that right? Is it 3 for Frank and 2 for Liz? Or the reverse? Did you come with Carl and me to that first Paradise show of FB's, with Johnny Polonsky?

Yes, we saw Frank three times together (including the J.P. time) and Liz twice. I saw her the third time in the summer, you were away. I think you forgot the Smoking Popes - didn't you see them twice? And also, Morrissey more than once?

Love,
Your Memory.
