These compilations would be good introductions to The Triffids, particularly Australian Melodrama because there's more stuff on it and it's from their better later records, not that their early stuff isn't good also:

for all you music lovers who enjoy the sounds of south american bands such as cafe tacuba.......i highly recomend to you...........chapusongs by an eclectic argentinian band called arbol........
...the promise of indulgence in my confidential voice approached inmortal danger but you´ll never know how close....
