Board Software Updated
I just finished installing an update to the software that runs The Board. From the release notes, this update fixed two security issues and a number of things we never noticed. It did mention loading forum pages faster so see if you noticed that.
It appeared to have updated quite smoothly. But as always if there are any issues, just speak up or email your friendly sysadmin.

Re: Board Software Updated
Proves how much Doc and I discuss the board. I didn't even know about this until after you guys posted.
Life has been hectic lately. I approve new users, answer user questions, and he does software and updates. At least we divide up the duties and we work well together.

Re: Board Software Updated
Yet another set of server operating system and board software upgrades. I didn't see any oddities while installing them so don't expect any .. but you have been warned.

Hi,
It's that time again. I updated the software that runs the board yesterday. No one complained so I assume it went OK.

You're welcome.migdd wrote:Thanks again for keeping us afloat, Doc.
The first large portion of the upgrade is now complete. There will be another outage of an hour or so sometime over the next few days.

Re: Board Software Updated
Hi,
I think all is well now. I managed to do the other long part last night before I went to bed and left it loading updates from the Net overnight. A reboot this morning and we are right there on the bleeding edge again.
If you spot anything not behaving right, just let me know.

Re: Board Software Updated
I keep reusing this old thread.
The upgrade appears to have run pretty smoothly. I the custom info at the top but please remember that this is a volunteer run site. You can help by using our click through for Amazon or just randomly making donations. See http://www.elviscostellofans.com/helpthesite.html for details.
As always, if there are issues, please let me know.
