Speaking of the Sugarcanes concert in Cary last year, do you have any recollection of the song listed in the setlist as "Wicked Wine" ?

Drawing a complete blank....I don't even recall him doing a song that was unknown to me.

I just got the following email from Ticketmaster;

Hello, this is Ticketmaster Customer Service with an important alert for your upcoming event: Please be advised the originally scheduled performance of Elvis Costello, scheduled at The National on Saturday, April 24, 2010, at 8:00PM, has a performer change.

This Saturday April 24th Elvis Costello concert will not have a special guest. The show is now an "Evening with Elvis Costello". There will be no opening act

Evidently, Richmond is close to sold out. The show was originally (and erroneously) advertised with a special guest (opening act). It's the venue's or the promotor's error. You just don't ditch your backing band at the last minute - they're already paid, whether they perform or not. It'll be Elvis and the Sugarcanes with no opening act.

That certainly should be one to treasure-probably makes a neat self produced home page photo!

That would be something to see. I have a best friend who for many years kept an extremely large poster of EC from the late 70s early 80s shot along the Seine framed and hung in his living room. It was something to behold and quite the conversation piece. Unique, as well. I cannot recall ever seeing a comparable piece. I always admired it.

Funny you should mention that. We're currently re-doing the room we use for a home office/art studio/hanging out listening to music & having cocktails room. It's far from finished, but here's an intermediate photo...

Ypsilanti-very nice-particularly like the stenciling vine work-'The Beloved Entertainer" severed and mounted upon the wall[always did like the ying/yang of the black/white though far from my favorite record]-Warner Brother executives probably never did appreciate the visual pun-I also like the wall color- I am color blind to reds and greens but it seems like a very soothing green tone-probably very stimulating for musical, or any other form of contemplation.

Sullky-spectrum wise I am very 'color blind'- sartoriallly "Accidents Will Happen"; it is an adventure to dress in the morning-nice EC turningon your part-melodically, harmonically and lyrically, no problem discerning a difference.

I remember a fellow student doing a titration when he was colour blind and his indicator was bright pink when he thought he'd just got the change in tint. Our chemistry master was cruel enough to let him calculate his 270% recovery and be puzzled by the result. Colin Top B would obviously go for a blue colour being an Evertonian !!
