What a great day yesterday! First of all we watched Spurs beat Man Cty 2-1, then went to the Crowded House concert at Wembley Arena. The concert was very good with a mixture of old and new from their latest album.
All in all a thoroughly enjoyable day!!
COME ON YOU SPURS!!

17 out of 20 traffic lights were green for *me* this morning.

It appears as though someone forgot to tell Mother Nature that it's December here in Alabama.

Same here Spooky. Its 78 in Durham! And in our school, with its ancient heating/cooling system, it takes two to three days to truly adjust the temp. End result: its 85 in my classroom and everyone is cranky.

It's certainly winter here. Rain, though, not snow. But our school has absolutely horrid heaters as well. It's either freezing or unbearably hot. Currently it seems stuck on freezing.
Why don't you write about it in your blag ?

Fucking freezing here lately, with an ice storm overnight/this morning. The missus nearly broke her leg in the driveway. Schools on two-hour delay - ugh. Don't mind the cold so much, but a couple of clear sunny days would be nice.

White Christmas is an enjoyable film. I've always enjoyed Danny Kaye. Soundtrack is great.

I hate you.
We've to right around freezing, with freezing rain and snow expected this afternoon. It's not even January and I'm *so* ready for winter to be over!

Be thankful for your precipitation, northerners! All of North Carolina (a normally rainy place) is under severe drought. The city of Durham has 53 days of water left in its usual supply. After that, its less than ideal water, stuff that's shipped in, etc. Every lawn is dead, every car is filthy, people have to cut showers back significantly and I feel guilty washing a dish. I'd take a snow-filled winter over 70 degrees in December to ease the minds of folks around here.

Why do women ask for your opinion on things when they are going to just ignore whatever you say? Marriage is an illusory democracy.

Because we just want to fuck with men's minds.
No, we really do care what you think, we just don't want to feel bound to agree with it.

Sam, my husband always says something similar. I tell him that just because I ask his opinion, it doesn't mean I check my brain at the door.

She is asking me what I think about various bathroom vanities. Yeah, that's my area of expertise!

The solution is simple, Sam. Here's a script for how this should go:
Mrs. Sam : "Which one of these bathroom vanities do you like best?"
Sam, after looking thoughtful for several seconds : " I don't know, which one do you like best?"
Mrs. Sam, points to one, and says : "I like this one!"
Sam : "Yes, I was thinking that too. Isn't it wonderful that we are so compatible and agree on these very important matters?"
See? Everyone wins. She gets to ask, you get to act like you gave an opinion.
It's a radiation vibe I'm groovin' on

Where to BWAP? I wish I could recommend Durham, NC, but we don't have any water.

Yes - Boston area. We still have our house there. Can I get the premiership package on cable or do I need to put the dish back up?
