echos myron like a siren
with endurance like the liberty bell
and he tells you of the dreamers
but he's cracked up like the road
and he'd like to lift us up, but we're a very heavy load

OMG, it's Lenny Kravitz! Man, has anyone ever been as cool as Stevie?

I posted one of these clips a few pages back but I can't resist another. Morgan Freeman brings his thespian genius to a list of soda ingredients.

Plus some great singing in the intro/outro, with footage of '70s pre-gentrification Harlem.

Voice sounds a lot like Damo Rice there. Guitar tremendously reminiscent of Don't Think Twice It's Alright, esp. as covered (beautifully) by John Martyn. Thought it was a cover at first.

This is a cool award winning short film, '10 Minutes' by Ahmed Imamovic, 1994. Different things that happen in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Rome, Italy in only 10 Minutes.

...and on the other side of the seriousness scale we have this, which is a parody PSA for AFSCME, the massive National Union (of which my own is a very small local):

Nice voice. Very sweet. He should sing more. He looks like a member of the Village People there.

I summoned my wife in the room and said the same thing a little while ago! He looks like he fell out of a leather bar. (not that there's anything wrong with that)

I went from Gay Edge via Elvis singing U2's Please (solo, acoustic, good, that's a dead good song, why isn't it more celebrated?), to this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EiOmhOum ... ed&search=

Fiona Apple singing I Want You with EC and the I's off VH1 Classic. Dead good. She has a great voice and really gets her teeth into this. Weird seeing Elv on stage but not performing this most individual of songs. Starts off with the original intro, which I don't think Elv normally does. I guess this is from the last couple of years. Has it been flagged here before?

Here's a much fuller sampling from whence this came. Elv with Billie Joe, inc. a bit of Basket Case. No Action sounds good.

Am I the only one who thinks the above is gross? Who told the woman she could sing?... and what is it with Elvis partnering women who sound like drunken old hags on a karaoke night out???? YUCK!!!

Yes, you probably are.

I imagine lots of people have told her she can sing very well, she also writes good songs.

You appear to have issues with Elvis sharing the studio/stage with any other female. Jealousy issues? Or maybe you have a warped hatred of female American singers.

And also Space Oddity, though it's wobbly and sound not great.

I'd go for this instead. The immortal Babies from their forests tour all of 5 years ago, recorded pretty near to here, and a gig I really wish I'd been to:
