I've been watching My Night at the Grammys on CBS, and it was announced before the commercial break that the "tribute to a punk icon" will be coming up next...people voted for their favorite Grammy moments, so we'll see what the Joe tribute will be ranked...
...Melissa Etheridge mentioned Joe's death in Dec. '02...Elvis Costello talked about the tribute, saying "Not many people know that Bruce (Springsteen) and Joe admired each other's work"...some rehearsal footage was shown, then the performance that aired was shown...after, Billie Joe Armstrong said that the tribute to Joe Strummer was great. It ranked #18. .

Sorry to dig up a thirteen year old thread, but does anybody know which year that was or have any pictures?
