For the last night they should bring back the horns, play "Impatience," and dedicate it to Connor.

I’m super stoked and excited for this, the 10th and final show of this amazing run. I hope everyone has a blast and I’m still incredibly shocked that I’ve been able to see all of these shows. I can’t wait to see what he has in store for us!

JohnO reports:

So tonight was one for the more casual fans, lots of tour classics and songs from the last two albums. Elvis was channeling his inner Trey Anastasio with more solos than I've ever seen him play, some not too shabby. He was also chattier than ever and made it clear how much fun he's been having. The show went over three hours, a fitting end to a fab fortnight he broke the repeat rule a couple more times. So sue him.
He also played the two songs we missed on night nine. Shockingly no special guests on the night they were actually billed.
Elvis Costello & the Imposters w/Charlie Sexton - 100 Songs Shows - Show 10 - 2/22/23
Wednesday, Feb. 22nd - Finale - Night Ten
Starts 8:10
1. Radio Radio

3. American Gangster Time
4. Hetty O’Hara Confidential
5. Either Side of the Same Town (theme song of the night)

7. New Lace Sleeves/What Kind of Fool Am I
8. The Boy Named If
(Break in show for "a medical emergency in the audience")
9. Everyday I Write The Book
10. Tipsy Woman
11. Penelope Haypenny
12. Uncomplicated
14. Newspaper Pane
15. Lipstick Vogue
16. Watching The Detectives
17. Couldn't Call It Unexpected #4
18. Deep Dark Truthful Mirror
19. The Man You Love to Hate

I think the new lace sleeves vocal tonight is the best I’ve ever heard from EC on a rocker ever

Not above some of the god give me strengths/ I’m in the mood again/ etc. but still…

The WANT YOU add ons were SHE'S SO HEAVY, I SAY A LITTLE PRAYER and BELIEVE TO MY SOUL.

I also feel something ends BOY NAMED IF....that EC guitar line. watch it ANCT. you are my 'go to' guy in these instances. That 12 or 16 bars before he counts the band back in with his "2-3-4" just before the return to the great IF RIFF climb. Sounds familiar in someway... or he could just be noodling through a great solo. Cheers. Benny

Subtracting the seven minutes off stage, this show clocks in at 3:08 by my score....nine minutes longer than my two previous longest shows!!!

I was particularly pleased to hear CCIU and Newspaper Pane (finally for me).

Otherwise a stock factory issue Imposters show, but still great.

Not sure we needed EIGHT songs from Boy Named If tonight. Four would have sufficed with four more deep cuts from past albums.

Did he really change the lyric throughout from “Magnificent Hurt” to just “magnificent” as if saying thank you to the crowd?

I totally agree that a few more rarities would’ve been nice, but I figure he wanted this residency to also show what he is doing now. Plus, it’s a good lead in to the tour. Here’s hoping for a few more amazing shows this weekend. I’m sure he’ll be pulling out something special that he may have had in his pocket, but didn’t get around to.

Yes guys...it was a show leading into what is still most definitely titled THE BOY NAMED IF tour. And it gave me four from the great lp that I had not yet seen. And kiddies....8 at each of the three shows I picked to attend!! Yes I missed several gems I have never seen at the other seven shows...but no other show including more than four. MY GUARDIAN ANGEL steered me correctly yet again, you see, my dear brother in Catholicism EC! :D :D

Anyone here hear if they announced a winner for the lottery for every shirt from the Gramercy run?
