2 things:

1) I wish the bonus material from the Rhino edition would get a vinyl release (especially the George Jones demos, which have always seemed like the deserved to be put out as their own LP)

2) I'm assuming that, like with the recent MOV MLAR LP, this is not a release EC would endorse, since KV is a 53-minute album that he would prefer to see spread out over 2 platters the way they did with both Brutal Youth and Spike. I wonder why they have opted against that approach for these other WB-era releases?

I was pleasantly surprised at how good it sounds. I think that the better separation on vinyl helps clear up some of the “muddle” in the mix. Elvis’ terrific vocals show through much clearer than on the CD for most of the tracks. The great Larry Knechtel‘s piano really shines through better as well. I never really noticed the piano as much in tracks like Payday before.
