Bought a Spanish Model shirt for myself and the stripy one for Mrs Sheep. We are both going to wear them on the beaches of Majorca next week :D :D

aw no, I had my eye on the Green Shirt for the Bath show.....always the curse of the larger framed person! I saw the Divine Comedy last month and they'd sold out of everything except Medium and Small!

Portsmouth and Swansea have been called off because Pete is unwell.

Hopefully he will be OK for the final 2 shows, Ipswich and London.

Get well soon Pete.

So what are our thoughts about the tour?

I only went to 2 shows on this tour and enjoyed them.

I think Charlie brings a great extra dimension to the band.

However perhaps it’s me but I’ve been disappointed with the set lists. I would like to have seen more variety and spontaneity but perhaps I want too much.

You can’t beat the experience though and the shows have also been special because the UK pre-gig meet ups are now about 10-15 of us.

There's a really interesting matrix on the wiki http://www.elviscostello.info/wiki/inde ... rites_Tour

On first night he played 23 songs a mere 11 gigs later he had played 46 - that is FORTY CLUCKING SIX .

Of these there were two completely new ones, one unrecorded not-quite-so-new song, three new/rarely heard covers and a bagful of rarities ( eg April 5 - you lucky Ipswich people - The Comedians, Sweet Dreams, Cinco Munotes Con Vos etc etc).

Obviously there were most of the 'standards' but even Detectives didn't feature every night. Only 10 songs were played every show.

Pretty impressive, particularly as there was a newish member of the ensemble.
