How about a Collected Lyrics book?
I preface it with 'how about?' so as not to unduly excite anyone who thinks he is about to publish such a volume. He isn't (as far as I know). But surely the time is right? Dylan and Weller have certainly done similar projects.

That's a great idea - like Dylan, sometimes the words and poetry almost get lost in the music - though I still relish my personal misinterpretations such as "stroking a manatee" from "Big Boys "!

My personal favourite is that for years I thought the line in 'Crawling to the USA' was 'everybody is under music, except the Russians and the Chinese...'sulky lad wrote:That's a great idea - like Dylan, sometimes the words and poetry almost get lost in the music - though I still relish my personal misinterpretations such as "stroking a manatee" from "Big Boys "!

I think I prefer that version !! Certainly would have been a good alternate name for "The Attractions" rather than Elvis' choice of "Sticky Valentines".Standstobeinsulted wrote:I always thought it was slicker valentines
