I can't say I blame you.

I'd suggested that Elvis be interviewed by other musicians (my suggestion was Billy Bragg in England). I hope the tour has different people interviewing at different locations.

BAM/Greenlight ‘Unbound’ series to feature Elvis Costello, Sara Bareilles, Gloria Steinem, Elizabeth Gilbert

“Unbound: A Book Launch Series with BAM and Greenlight Bookstore” will return to Brooklyn this fall with a series of unique talks surrounding highly anticipated book launches by five contemporary artists and authors — Elizabeth Gilbert, Bryan Doerries, Sara Bareilles, Gloria Steinem and Elvis Costello.

(...)

In “Unfaithful Music & Disappearing Ink,” music luminary Elvis Costello offers his unique perspective on his rise to international success, sharing stories and observations about his experiences and collaborations with other artists, while also offering insight into the previously undocumented emotional foundations of some of his best-known songs. Costello will speak about his book on Nov. 10 at 7:30 p.m.
Since you put me down, it seems i've been very gloomy. You may laugh but pretty girls look right through me.

There are still plenty of tickets available for this. Where as most of the promo events so far seem to have featured little input from the interviewers this is sure to be a but more of a meeting of minds, what with Elvis & Rosanne's long friendship.

My schedule is New York - Nov. 8th ,seeing friends at the Poetryfest at the Irish Arts Centre.
On Nov. 9th I go to Philadelphia & meet friends to go see Laura Cantrell at the Kung Fu Necktie.
On Tues. Nov. 10th I go back to Brooklyn, seeing Elvis Costello & Rosanne Cash at BAM Howard Gilman Opera House.
On Wednesday Nov. 11th I'll see the Dave Rawlings Machine at the Beacon Theatre.
On Thurs 12th I'm off to Washington DC and will see Natalie Prass at the Rock & Roll Hotel.
On Fri. Nov. 13th I go on to Richmond , VA , seeing Matthew E White at the Broadberry.
I'll be staying with friends until Sun. Nov. 15th when I go on to Goldsboro , NC. I'll be spending a few days with friends there until I return to Dublin, via NY , on Wednes. Nov. 18th.

Share your love with me before April 5th.
Tidbit of Winter sung also, though jokingly as was Israelite by Desmond Dekker. Phenomenal night meeting King Foyle and seeing old and new friends too. Even met Jesse Malin afterwards. He loved it too.

so i would write...

First off - RIP, Allen. You know life sucks when you can't say a proper goodbye to a friend... let alone someone who made your life feel so special through lyric or song.

But, to keep in tune with the topic of this forum, I love April 5th - the song. Absolutely brilliant and a very special moment for anyone who was in attendance. I'll take/listen to low budge vid recordings of this song.. bring it, forum fans!

Peace, Love, and RIP Allen Toussiant :(
