About damned time! I just saw the news in a paper over here, I can't believe I missed this thread. It'll be my first time seeing him live and with A.C joining him makes it even better. I hope the Imposters will be joining :P ! I missed them last time during the TDM-tour because the Gothenburg-show w...

That's really sad to hear. Short Cuts is my favourite of its genre. He seemed to be on a roll in putting out good movies these last few years. A Prarie Home Companion was critically acclaimed in pretty much every paper over here. Anyone seen it? I've been meaning to.

Wait, Waits new album is not a compilation of outtakes and such? I was intending to get that eventually, but if this is all new material I must get it soon. I had forgotten about this upcoming Waits-release alltogether, so thanks for the reminder. Currently listening to this: http://static.rateyourm...

I'm split on Heroes, because the 'songs' are all brilliant while the instrumentals, to me, aren't as interesting as the ones on Low.

Otis, I'll agree that most '78 versions of the Ziggy material aren't particularly interesting and it's strange because Star is probably my favourite song from that album. But there's something about the chaos of this live recording that I really like. I think it's the rolling drums ;) That said, per...

Received my CDs from last week already but didn't have to listen to it then. It is a very nice and fun listen as mood swung intended. Not a single artist I'd listened to before besides Nick Lowe but I hadn't heard the song  Tracklist: Scott Miller & the Commonwealth - Dear Sarah Rancid - La...

Outside is one of my favourites. Though as with parts of the original Eno-trilogy, Brian Eno deserves a bit of the credit. Picked 'I'm Deranged' because I'll never ever get tired of it. Lovely arrangements. I'm surprised I've been the only one to pick TVC15! Here's a nice little video of it being pe...

Your Ten Favorite.......Bowie songs

I know there are plenty of Bowie fans on this board. I actually wouldn't be surprised if there had already been a thread like this!

Much harder this time around. So I'll need some time to think about it.

Hmm, well I do intend to get more albums of hers. Any big Mitchell-fans on the board? Are there any other essential purchases than Blue, Court and Spark and The Hissing of Summer Lawns? (the latter is my favourite so far)

Fairly interesting. I only know three of her early albums (Blue, Court... and Summer Lawns) and I've heard she hasn't released anything particularly worthwhile since those days, but perhaps I've been misinformed.

I dunno. Last time I joined in, I didn't even hear from Vez whether or not he got the disc. I'm sure he had his reasons though. Oh well, I'll try again!

I'm really enjoying this. Perhaps I shall explore more of Cale's work (though from what I've understood there's nothing else like this in his catalogue). Perhaps Fear?

I'm interested in listening to Miles as well (and Weather Report) actually. I do think I would be most interested in starting at Bitches Brew though.

Kiss was a small guilty pleasure, I never really liked any of their songs that much but I do enjoy listening to some still. The KISS army was very noticable in my school during the terrible Psycho Circus thingamajig, but other than that I haven't seen a single trace of them. No, I was a member of th...
